About the position
The Clean Rice Operator at Riviana Foods is responsible for managing the receipt, quality, storage, and flow of rice products to ensure they reach their proper destinations. This entry-level position requires adherence to daily operating plans and key performance indicators (KPIs), while complying with all relevant policies and regulations. The operator will troubleshoot equipment and quality issues, maintain organized work areas, and ensure personal and team safety.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment and product quality issues.
- Convey shift information and knowledge regarding daily production to maintenance, QC, and operator co-workers and supervisors.
- Create clear, accurate, complete, and timely documentation.
- Keep work areas organized and sanitary according to set standards.
- Follow standard operating processes and procedures, adhering to GMP's, HACCP, OSHA, and company policies.
- Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others in the working area.
Requirements
- Basic math skills and reasoning to solve problems.
- Ability to read, write, listen to, comprehend, and communicate information in English.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude to troubleshoot equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Familiarity with computerized equipment or systems.
