About the position

The Classroom Monitor plays a crucial role in creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for students. This position is designed to support educational experiences without necessarily replacing an absent teacher. Responsibilities may include monitoring virtual labs, overseeing internal suspensions, and assisting in specialized programs funded by IDEA.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a conducive classroom atmosphere for learning.
• Provide positive educational experiences for all students.
• Monitor virtual labs and assist in internal suspension settings.
• Support additional personnel in ASD cluster programs.

Requirements

• Transcript from an accredited college showing at least 60 semester hours of completed coursework.
• Minimum of two signed and dated letters of reference, including one from the last employer or cooperating teacher.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of the Substitute Teacher Training On-Boarding Course (optional).
• Completion of the STEDI SubSkills Online Training Course.
