About the position
The Class A Local Dedicated Intermodal position offers drivers the opportunity to work full-time with a focus on local routes, ensuring they are home daily. This role involves picking up and dropping off containers along railways, with a mix of live loads and preloads. Drivers can expect flexible start times and a competitive weekly pay range of $1,400 to $1,800, depending on experience and performance.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and drop off containers along the railways.
- Perform live load, live unload, preload, and drop and hook operations.
- Complete an average of 3-6 turns a day, with both drop & hook and live loads for pickups and deliveries.
- Work a 5-day week with optional extra work days.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies during operations.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with 3 months of 53' experience within the past year.
- Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire.
- Must live within 40 miles of Bell Gardens Terminal.
- No accidents or incidents within the past year.
- Address must match the hiring area.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with slip seat accounts.
- Familiarity with Shafter, CA lane requirements.
