About the position

The Claims Specialist role at Global Aerospace is a full-time position responsible for providing comprehensive claims and administrative support to the Claims Department. This includes managing correspondence, processing claims payments, and assisting with various administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support for Claims Adjusters, including preparation of correspondence, market reports, travel arrangements, and expense reports.
  • Generate and distribute all correspondence related to incoming or existing claims via mail or email.
  • Perform electronic filing of claims materials and create claims as needed.
  • Input reserve information and changes as requested by claims adjusters and enter reserve authorizations/instructions.
  • Process claims payments and advance requests in designated systems.
  • Prepare settlement payments as assigned by claims adjusters, confirming wire details and requirements from Finance.
  • Support claims receivables, credit control items, and finalize and distribute Market Reports as required.
  • Respond to inquiries from brokers, insureds, co-insurers, and vendors.
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings as directed.
  • Schedule and create teleconference invitations for upcoming meetings as directed by claims adjusters.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Two to three years of administrative experience in a legal, insurance, or corporate setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
