About the position

The Claims Business Process Consultant at UnitedHealth Group is responsible for analyzing and optimizing claims system processes and business rules. This role involves ensuring data integrity and security while providing solutions to customer needs and problems. The consultant will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the overall goal of improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Claims related and business system analysis
• Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
• Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
• Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
• Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
• Translates concepts into practice
• Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues
• Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others
• Acts as a resource for others with less experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 4+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
• 2+ years of experience in claims
• Moderate Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
• Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
• Ability to work during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST
