About the position
The Civil Engineering Technician-Intern will provide field construction inspection on various local civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. This role involves working on municipal infrastructure, land and site development, grading projects, and various water and sewer systems, among others. The intern will also assist in design, plan preparation, and quantity estimating, contributing to impactful community projects.
Responsibilities
- Measure and calculate construction quantities
- Read and interpret plans and specifications
- Project inspection to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Prepare accurate records, reports, and project files
- May aid in design, plan preparation, and quantity estimating
Requirements
- Civil Engineering majors highly preferred
- Located in the Minot area for the summer season
- Maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Maintain a positive attitude
