About the position

Coffman Engineers is seeking a self-motivated and technically skilled Civil Engineer with 0-5 years of experience, focusing on Transportation and Transit design. The role involves supporting various projects related to transportation technology, innovative mobility systems, and transit facilities, including roadways, bridges, and pedestrian access. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design and implementation of civil engineering solutions while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Support transportation and transit design projects including roadways, bridges, and airport facilities.
• Assist in the design, permitting, and construction-related tasks for various civil engineering projects.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and prepare technical studies.
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline design team to ensure project success.
• Prepare site or public improvement grading, storm water management, and utility plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Interest in civil engineering design for transportation and transit projects.
• Experience with roadway planning and design is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
