About the position

Citizens Bankers serve as the primary point of contact for customers at the branch, focusing on building lasting relationships and providing trusted financial advice. This role involves understanding customers' financial goals and offering tailored solutions to meet their needs, while also promoting digital banking options and collaborating with various banking partners to address more complex financial situations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers by providing trusted financial advice.
  • Assist customers with their financial needs, including spending, saving, borrowing, and investing.
  • Introduce customers to digital banking solutions and mobile-first transaction methods.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking partners to address complex financial needs.
  • Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments.
  • Follow all financial policies and procedures, including cash handling and compliance with state and local laws.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED required.
  • 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
  • Ability to effectively ask questions and identify customer needs to improve relationships.
  • Proven success in building relationships and recommending products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
  • Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support business goals.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and providing solutions to customer issues.
  • Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates and business partners through collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act.
