The Assistant Director at La Petite Academy is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the school alongside the School Director. This role involves promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children, ensuring compliance with licensing standards, and managing various administrative tasks. The Assistant Director plays a crucial role in creating a positive educational environment and is accountable for the overall operation of the school, especially in the absence of the Director.
Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the operation of the school, ensuring compliance with company and state licensing standards.
- Ensure an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.
- Spark imagination, build self-esteem, and help children discover new things each day.
- Promote the positive image of the company and enhance its reputation as a provider of choice in educational programs.
- Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
- Assist in achieving profitability for the company.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous management experience in a licensed child care facility is required.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed child care facility.
- High School diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Must meet state requirements for education and additional center/school requirements.
