About the position

The Child Support Supervisor is responsible for providing daily direction and leadership to a team of Child Support Specialists. This role involves coordinating work with other division teams, the court, and Child Support attorneys, while developing and implementing strategies to meet program goals and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The supervisor will oversee operational practices to ensure accuracy and timely processing of work, fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise a team consisting of multiple division functions including legal support, quality assurance, and customer service.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff, establishing performance standards and appraising performance.
• Coordinate workflow with other agency departments and the judicial system, realigning unit responsibilities as needed.
• Maintain working knowledge of program rules and system operations, establishing and reviewing local procedures for compliance.
• Resolve complex customer service issues and collaborate with staff to enhance procedures and set policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with four years of full-time business or office experience involving customer interaction.
• One year of experience in a human service or legal environment.
• One year of full-time experience supervising and managing employees.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a legal, collection, or child support environment.
• Experience working in a call center.
• Associate degree or higher.
