About The Position

Goodhue County Health & Human Services is seeking qualified applicants for a Child Support Enforcement Officer. This role ensures that children in non-intact families receive court-ordered financial and medical support from their non-custodial parent(s). The officer will be part of a team of skilled, caring, and knowledgeable HHS professionals dedicated to promoting, strengthening, and protecting the health of individuals, families, and communities in Goodhue County.

Requirements

Knowledge of interviewing techniques and methods for obtaining and communicating information.
High school diploma or GED plus 3 years of increasingly responsible clerical experience or experience working with the public.

Responsibilities

Assesses public assistance and non-public assistance child support applications for appropriate agency actions, such as enforcement of a court order for support or establishment of support and/or paternity.
Ability to establish and maintain thorough case files in compliance with state and federal laws, both for on-going case work and for audit process.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
Ability to perform detailed work with speed and accuracy.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
