About the position

We are seeking a visionary Chief Employee Experience Officer (CEEO) to lead our organization's commitment to creating an exceptional workplace for all associates. This executive role will be responsible for leading organization wide change management from all departments and also drive strategic initiatives that enhance employee engagement, foster an inclusive culture, and position our company as a premier employer of choice. The CEEO will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring our workplace culture reflects our values and supports business objectives. National Corporate housing is undergoing an HR transformation and needs an experienced HR leader to drive the change, mentor the HR leadership team, and move the HR Team from a fulfillment center to a strategic advisor. We have an HR Team that is split between our DTC headquarters and multiple remote locations across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee comprehensive HR operations including policy development, compliance, and process optimization
  • Ensure legal compliance with all employment laws and regulations
  • Lead HR technology initiatives to streamline processes and enhance employee self-service capabilities
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
  • Oversee compensation and benefits strategy to ensure competitive and equitable practices
  • Oversee Talent Development and Talent Management functions
  • Oversee comprehensive learning and development programs for all career stages
  • Lead overall workforce planning, including succession planning, utilizing business data and people analytics to make workforce planning decisions
  • Implement performance management systems that drive engagement and development
  • Create leadership development programs that build internal capability and promote from within
  • Establish mentoring, coaching, upskilling, and career pathing programs
  • Build the first HR business partner program to help the organization reach their goals through workforce strategies
  • Build strong partnership with line leaders to anticipate and deliver on their talent needs
  • Mentor HR staff in a moving from a fulfillment mindset to a strategic advisor
  • Direct talent acquisition strategy to attract diverse, high-quality candidates
  • Develop employer branding initiatives that showcase our culture and employee value proposition
  • Implement innovative recruiting practices and technologies to improve candidate experience, including University recruiting programs
  • Build strategic partnerships with educational institutions, professional organizations, and community groups
  • Establish talent pipeline development programs for critical roles and emerging skill areas like our Leadership Development Program
  • Serve as the primary advocate for associates across all levels of the organization
  • Design and implement employee journey mapping and user experience to identify opportunities for experience enhancement
  • Develop programs that address diverse employee needs and promote work-life integration
  • Lead employee listening strategies including surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms
  • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives throughout the organization
  • Lead change management initiatives across the organization to support business transformation
  • Develop and maintain organizational design and workforce planning strategies
  • Oversee internal communications to ensure transparent, consistent messaging
  • Collaborate with business leaders to address workforce challenges and opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement in all people-related processes and programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred (MBA, MS in HR, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience with at least 7 years in senior executive roles
  • Proven track record leading large-scale organizational transformation and culture change initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise-wide people strategies
  • Strong business acumen with ability to align HR initiatives with organizational objectives
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse teams
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams and board of directors
  • Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
  • Experience with HR technology platforms, analytics, and data-driven decision making
  • Expertise in change management methodologies and organizational development
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and implementation strategies
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics
  • Collaborative leadership style with commitment to transparency and authenticity
  • Innovative mindset with ability to think strategically while executing tactically
  • High degree of integrity and ethical decision-making
