About the position

As a College Fresh Chef, you will be responsible for managing the entire food service program at your assigned College Fresh account. This role emphasizes creativity in menu design, adherence to public health guidelines, and outstanding customer service. You will have the autonomy to run your own kitchen while exemplifying the core values of passion, integrity, support, client-focus, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Order, stock, prepare and serve food to residents at designated College Fresh account.
• Prepare all foods on the menu and maintain the kitchen in accordance with public health guidelines.
• Develop and post weekly menus and submit them to the menu sharing system as directed by management.
• Manage the budget and organize invoices as directed by management.
• Keep complete and legible copies of all receipts for purchases made on company VISA card.
• Receive inventory, stock all supplies/staples, and adhere to cleanliness and sanitation regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and address client needs in a professional manner.
• Assist Regional Manager with hiring and training subordinate staff as required.
• Prepare special event meals as required.
• Perform routine assignments such as dishwashing and garbage removal if required.

Requirements

• Culinary Arts degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of catering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation, kitchen management, menu planning, organization, and leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a current Servsafe Food Protection Manager certificate or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in managing a kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food allergies.
