About the position

The Chargemaster/Financial Analyst position at Atlantic General Hospital is a full-time role focused on managing and maintaining the Charge Description Master (CDM). The analyst will ensure compliance with payor requirements, recommend charge structures, and work closely with revenue-producing departments to maintain the accuracy of the CDM. This role requires staying updated on regulatory changes and ensuring compliance with Medicare and Medicaid billing practices.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain the Charge Description Master (CDM) to ensure accuracy and compliance with payor requirements.
• Recommend appropriate charge structures for CDM items.
• Coordinate with revenue-producing departments to ensure consistency in the CDM, including accurate descriptions, coding, and pricing.
• Analyze charges and reimbursement to ensure compliance with Federal and State claims submission regulations.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and operational processes related to billing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance preferred, but other degrees will be considered.
• 3-5 years of previous experience in Healthcare with working knowledge of Charge Description Master (CDM).
• Excellent customer service skills and highly organized.
