Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

Nice To Haves

  • BSN degree
  • Two (2) years recent experience in current clinical specialty (i.e., critical care, surgical services, diabetes education, radiology, etc.)
  • Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates daily activities and distribution of work in area during scheduled shift.
  • Acts as a professional educator and resource for new employees, demonstrating clinical expertise and competence.
  • Works with a unit specific patient population.
  • Care and/or services will be provided to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Sets priorities based on the situation at hand.
  • Combination of direct patient care, management (charge), and education (preceptor) roles with responsibility for a unit during an eight (8) to twelve (12) hour shift.
