About the position

The Channel Sales and Partnerships Manager at Mastercard is a strategic role focused on expanding the company's reach through partnerships in the Insights, Analytics, Identity, Fraud, and Open Banking solutions sectors within the NAM region. This position is responsible for developing and managing relationships with channel and alliance partners, executing strategies tailored to regional nuances, and driving revenue growth through effective partner engagement and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Meet assigned targets for revenues through and with channel partners
  • Define the desired profile of potential partners with the help of management
  • Research, identify, qualify and screen potential partners that align with the target partner profile
  • Gain qualified partners' commitment to becoming engaged and productive by formulating and conveying a compelling business proposition
  • Develop a joint business plan with each partner prior to finalizing contract negotiations
  • Maintain a solid pipeline of qualified prospective partners to meet established recruitment targets
  • Drive onboarding and activating new partners, ensuring their teams are equipped to sell and support Mastercard offerings
  • Engage Mastercard resources and stakeholders in support of partnership objectives and sales opportunities
  • Manage channel pipeline and forecast reporting and track progress through the sales cycle
  • Drive monthly partner alignment sessions to review partners' pipelines and develop account penetration strategies
  • Work with high-performing partners to develop an annual joint business plan and review progress in quarterly business reviews
  • Provide partner and market feedback to internal functions on tools and programs
  • Assist in field marketing activities such as trade shows and sales presentations

Requirements

  • At least seven years of experience in data and analytics solutions for identity, business insights, fraud, and/or open banking applications
  • Experience sourcing, qualifying, screening and forming business relationships with channel partners at the CXO level
  • Experience managing major customer/partner relationships to foster collaboration and transparency
  • Strong personal network within the industry
  • Experience developing and managing joint business planning with partners
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify market opportunities
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a build-it-as-we-go mentality
  • Commercially oriented with a focus on identifying new opportunities
  • Excellent listening and collaboration skills
