About the position
Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated and experienced Challenger 350 Captain to join their team at KHPN airport. The role focuses on the safe operation of the Challenger aircraft, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and company policies while providing excellent service to clients. The ideal candidate will be a team player committed to safety and integrity in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe operation of the Challenger aircraft.
- Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner according to regulations.
- Review the maintenance status of the aircraft before flights.
- Perform proper pre-flight inspections as per the Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Check weather and facilities along the route and at airports, including alternates.
- Ensure compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew during flights.
- Accurately complete all trip paperwork according to current procedures.
Requirements
- Total flight time of 3000 hours.
- 1500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 1500 hours in Multi-Engine Land (MEL) aircraft.
- 500 hours as MEL PIC.
- 500 hours in Turbo Jet aircraft.
- 250 hours of instrument flight time.
- Type rated on Challenger 350 or comparable aircraft.
- First class medical certification required.
- Ability to work on an on-call basis.
- Willingness to complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
- Primary residence within a 2-hour drive from KHPN or willingness to relocate.
