About the position
The Senior Fitness Instructor role at Kev's Gym involves teaching chair yoga, seated exercise, seated dance, and Tai Chi classes to seniors at various facilities across the US. The position is part-time and contract-based, focusing on providing engaging fitness classes tailored to the needs of older adults, particularly those with physical and cognitive disabilities. Instructors will work autonomously, managing their schedules while receiving support from Kev's Gym in terms of marketing and client management.
Responsibilities
- Teach chair yoga, seated exercise, seated dance, and Tai Chi classes to seniors.
- Commit to teaching 5-10 hours of classes per week between specified hours.
- Drive to client-site locations to conduct classes within a 20-minute radius from home.
- Provide a nurturing and positive environment for seniors during classes.
- Adapt classes to accommodate seniors with physical and cognitive disabilities.
Requirements
- Experience teaching yoga, Tai Chi, dance, or fitness classes.
- Certification in at least one of the following: Yoga, personal training, Tai Chi, or Zumba.
- Ability to work with seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- General liability insurance coverage.
Nice-to-haves
