About the position
The Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position is a part-time role focused on providing high-quality services to children, youth, and young adults with Autism and special needs in both home and school settings. The RBT will work under the supervision of a BCBA professional, implementing ABA services as outlined in clients' treatment plans, recording data, and communicating effectively with the BCBA to ensure tailored interventions. This role emphasizes professional growth and teamwork within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct work with children to help them learn through individual programs and techniques under BCBA supervision.
- Implement ABA services as outlined in clients' ABA Treatment Plans.
- Record data for each session and communicate with the BCBA regarding effective interventions.
- Perform administrative tasks such as writing session notes, progress summaries, and making phone calls.
- Attend team meetings to discuss daily plans, child and parent concerns, and schedule changes.
- Ensure services are provided in accordance with county and Florida regulations.
Requirements
- High School Degree; some college experience in the social service field is a plus.
- Certified RBT with a Blue Badge and Medicaid # required.
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial Training is a plus but not required.
- 2+ years of ABA experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Professional conduct and adherence to confidentiality rules.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
- Day care and/or classroom experience is a plus but not required.
