About the position

Tenacious Solutions, LLC is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to work in a hybrid capacity from our Arlington, VA headquarters. The role involves financial reporting and analysis, government contract accounting, financial system management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The CPA will play a crucial role in managing financial processes and supporting the company's operations through effective accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Apply knowledge of DCAA regulations to manage government contracts.
• Oversee cost accounting, indirect rate calculations, and contract billing.
• Assist in preparing incurred cost submissions (ICS) and forward pricing rate proposals (FPRP).
• Utilize Unanet, JAMIS (or a similar ERP system) for project accounting, timekeeping, and expense management.
• Set up new projects, monitor budgets, and track project costs.
• Train staff on JAMIS usage and troubleshoot system issues.
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with auditors during DCAA audits and ensure compliance with FAR and CAS.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in both public and private accounting.
• Proficiency in using Unanet, JAMIS (or a similar ERP system).
• Strong understanding of DCAA regulations and FAR/CAS compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
