Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties of resident care and activities of daily living under the direct supervision of a nurse and the nurse manager.
• Promote maximum independence and comfort for each resident by providing individualized care in collaboration with co-workers, residents, and families.
• Support and promote resident strengths and abilities, capacity for social contribution, unique values, preferences, living habits, and autonomy of choice.

Requirements

• Successful completion of the nurse aide course as certified by the state of PA
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be flexible with scheduling
• Must be able to read, write and take verbal direction
• Be willing to be a change agent
• Demonstrates sensitivity to residents' emotional, social, mental health, and spiritual needs

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a rehab setting preferred.
