About the position

The Certified Nursing Assistant II (NAC II) plays a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position is essential in ensuring quality care in the Medical Surgical Unit, assisting with various patient needs, telemetry monitoring, and maintaining efficient operations within the unit.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN in monitoring vitals and providing direct care of patients.
• Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials.
• Responds to patient requests and provides assistance for activities of daily living.
• Maintains effective interdisciplinary communication and patient privacy.
• Orders medical supplies for the unit based on patient need.
• Completes all documentation including patient observations and care provided accurately.
• Performs ongoing monitoring of the patient's telemetry and ensures equipment is operating correctly.
• Assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers using current handover process.

Requirements

• Certified as a Nursing Assistant with the State of Washington.
• AHA BLS certified within 30 days of hire and maintained while employed.
• Phillips Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring experience or willingness to complete required training.
