About The Position

Bring your caregiving skills to a one-on-one home care setting where quality, consistency, and compassion matter. McKenney Home Care is a family-owned private-duty home care agency serving Lee and Collier County. We are currently seeking Florida CNAs and experienced HHAs to support clients in the Naples area with personalized, in-home care. This position is a strong fit for CNAs and HHAs who enjoy building trust with clients, working in a private home setting, and providing attentive care without the pace of a facility environment. Flexible Scheduling Private-duty home care allows for a variety of scheduling options based on client needs and caregiver availability. Current opportunities may include: Morning shifts such as 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, or 10:00 AM–2:00 PM Short or split shifts, including 2–3 hour AM or PM visits Standard shifts of 4–6 hours Extended day or overnight shifts of 7–12 hours 12-hour day and overnight shifts are frequently available Schedules vary by client, with opportunities for consistent, ongoing assignments.

Requirements

  • Active Florida CNA license or certified 75hr or 120hr Home Health Aide
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Hands-on CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
  • TB test within the last 6 months or chest X-ray within the last 5 years
  • Level 2 AHCA background screening, or willingness to complete
  • Strong hands-on care skills and good judgment in a home setting
  • Professional communication, attention to detail, and dependable attendance
  • Ability to provide consistent, compassionate care to clients and families

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive personal care and support in a private home setting
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe mobility
  • Support safe transfers, ambulation, and fall-prevention practices
  • Provide companionship and help clients feel comfortable, respected, and supported
  • Assist clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other memory care needs
  • Prepare meals and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment through light housekeeping and laundry
  • Provide medication reminders only; no medication administration
  • Observe and report changes in condition to the office and nursing team
  • Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, and the care team
