About the position

We are searching for attentive, kindhearted health professionals to help us care for our phenomenal residents. As a certified employee, you will administer medications under the supervision of licensed staff, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. Your role will involve providing direct care to residents, maintaining their quality of life in a home-like environment, and offering support to family and visitors. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team, meeting state and federal guidelines while maintaining professional behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records under supervision of licensed nurse.
  • Verify identity of resident receiving medication and record name of drug, dosage, and time of administration.
  • Present medication to resident and observe ingestion or administer medication using specified procedures.
  • Take vital signs or observe resident to detect response to medications and prepare reports of unexpected reactions.
  • Document reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
  • Provide direct patient care, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding of residents.
  • Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to residents.
  • Record and restock medication inventories.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or minimum age of 18 years.
  • Completion of Certified Medication Technician or Med Level One course and obtain certification in current state.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, co-workers, visitors, and families.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations requiring confidentiality of resident information.
  • Demonstrate accuracy in observation, performance, and reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company requirements related to driving if required.
