About The Position

This Certified Medication Aide will be a CNA | STNA who will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse and will administer prescription medication as well as perform other duties. This individual will maintain full knowledge of duties, responsibilities and accountability and shall act in accordance with the laws pertaining to administration of medication by a certified medication aide. The Certified Medication Aide will document in the medical record and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year experience as a CNA | STNA
• Completed an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program
• Active, unrestricted Medication Aide Certification by the Ohio Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Administer prescription medication
• Perform other duties as directed by the Charge Nurse
• Maintain full knowledge of duties, responsibilities, and accountability
• Act in accordance with laws pertaining to medication administration by a certified medication aide
• Document in the medical record
• Maintain confidentiality
