About The Position
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) for a Certified Medical Assistant/Scribe in Medical Group Cardiology at Swedish Hospital. The role involves greeting patients, documenting vital signs and medical information, providing front office support, and potentially performing phlebotomy and giving injections depending on the specialty. On-the-job training is provided for those without prior medical assistant experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
- CPR-BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is required
- One year of work experience required
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
- previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and escort them to exam room
- Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
- Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height and weight
- Provide front office support as needed
- Phlebotomy and giving injections varies based on the specialty
