Responsibilities
- Registering patients and collecting payments.
- Rooming patients and assisting the provider with care and treatment.
- Discharging patients and following up with them.
- Companioning patients and their secondary guests through the entire experience.
- Maximizing clinical excellence and reducing treatment times.
- Assisting with front office and back-office duties in outpatient management.
- Maintaining continuous contact with providers, patients, and patient care staff.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certificate of Completion or Diploma from a medical assistant program.
- CMA certification from an approved certifying agency.
- American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) certification to be completed within 2 weeks of hire date.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA.
- Experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of Epic.
- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
