Responsibilities

  • Registering patients and collecting payments.
  • Rooming patients and assisting the provider with care and treatment.
  • Discharging patients and following up with them.
  • Companioning patients and their secondary guests through the entire experience.
  • Maximizing clinical excellence and reducing treatment times.
  • Assisting with front office and back-office duties in outpatient management.
  • Maintaining continuous contact with providers, patients, and patient care staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certificate of Completion or Diploma from a medical assistant program.
  • CMA certification from an approved certifying agency.
  • American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) certification to be completed within 2 weeks of hire date.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA.
  • Experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of Epic.
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
