About the position

The Certified Diagnostic Electrician-Power Distribution at Freeport-McMoRan is a highly skilled role focused on the maintenance and repair of industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Complete routine and non-routine repairs and construction safely.
• Provide leadership in safety, environmental practices, mentoring, cost control, project management, and proactive maintenance management processes.
• Mentor and train new employees and apprentices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in industrial electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenance.
• Qualified under the company certification process.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Completion of academic and practical competencies required for the position.

Nice-to-haves

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with VFDs, PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA Control Systems.
• Experience working with low and medium voltages.
• Experience with AC and/or DC controls.
• Experience with instrumentation devices.
• Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment.
• Experience with HVAC equipment.
