About the position

Physical Therapy Solutions is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to join our Richmond, VA, team. This position involves providing coverage for the Richmond Ballet and injury prevention for company dancers. The role includes assisting licensed staff with patient care in our clinic located within the Richmond Ballet and outreach to an all-female high school. We offer diverse specialized services, including Dry Needling, Non-Operative and postoperative extreme care, Total Joint Rehabilitation, Exercise and Manual-Based Spine Rehabilitation, Custom Foot Orthotics, Sport-Specific Evaluation and treatment, and Slow-Motion Video Analysis. Our clinic has a substantial patient population, which defines our reputation for delivering effective, personalized healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate injuries and develop treatment and exercise plans within the scope of practice.
• Re-evaluate treatment plans, as needed, to ensure maximum patient benefit.
• Implement individualized therapeutic interventions and monitor responses to therapy to ensure client safety.
• Report progress and medical changes to referring physician.
• Educate clients, families, and coaches regarding injuries, risk factor modification, and exercise programs.
• Conduct injury screening clinics, educational programs, and workshops to promote safety and injury prevention.
• Document patient treatment per professional and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field from an accredited university athletic training program.
• NATA-BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in Virginia or license eligible.

Nice-to-haves

• CPR/ First Aid instructor preferred but not required.
