About the position

Northern Edge Physical Therapy is an orthopedic clinic seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team and help build our sports program in-house with an outreach in the community. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a work hardening program to benefit our working clientele and local athletes.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to athletes and clients at local high schools, community events, and in the outpatient clinic.
• Manage the health care of participating athletes, including first aid/emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, appropriate modalities, prevention and rehabilitation programs, and medical referrals.
• Communicate with coaches, parents, athletic directors, other medical professionals, and athletes regarding injuries and rehabilitation goals.
• Multi-task clinical outreach needs as well as on-site clinical needs, including flexibility for early morning shifts, late afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Implement a work hardening program for the outpatient clinic and oversee physical therapy technicians assisting with the program.
• Develop program documentation, ensure safety compliance, and communicate with employers and other health care workers involved with each individual case.
• Work in tandem with physical therapists, technicians, and office staff to achieve functional rehabilitation goals of all athletes and clients.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in the training rooms and communicate supply needs to the local High School Athletic Principal.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as an athletic trainer (new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply).
• Certification as an Athletic Trainer.
