About the position

Under minimum supervision team member receives, decontaminates, assembles and reprocesses supplies, instruments and equipment for disinfection and sterilization.

Responsibilities

• Receive and decontaminate supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Assemble and reprocess items for disinfection and sterilization.

Requirements

• High school diploma, with certification as Central Sterile Technician preferred.
• Two (2) years experience in a Central Sterile Supply Technician position.
• Ability to effectively convey verbal and written information.
• Ability to follow directions and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
• Ability to adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the hospital, including all shifts.
• Ability to effectively function as a member of a collaborative team.
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively, setting appropriate priorities.
• Ability to comply with The Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
