Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret installation specifications to ensure precise and high-quality execution across various construction projects.
  • Install, mount frames, drill floors, test, and label fiber equipment.
  • Work on fiber optics transmission systems.
  • Follow scope of work (SOW) and method of procedure (MOP).
  • Install and integrate telecom transmission equipment in central offices.
  • Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling.
  • Assemble, modify, and install relay racks, transmission equipment, and cable ladders.
  • Run power, signal, and ground cables; terminate single/multi-strand and coax cables.
  • Ensure compliance with customer installation and quality standards (IP72202).
  • Maintain accurate records, drawings, BOMs, and job status updates.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to lower-level installers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Level II Central Office Installer, Data Center, or similar experience.
  • Experience with ATT, Ciena, and Verizon equipment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and job-related databases.
  • Ability to lift tools/equipment (minimum 10 lbs).
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship.
  • High School diploma or equivalent technical training (2 years of trade school preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License with clean record past 3 years.
  • Reliable vehicle.
  • Ability and enjoyment of flying on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to travel 1-4 weeks at a time consistently.
