The Cemetery Field Worker - Semi-Skilled Laborer position involves performing various landscaping and grounds maintenance duties at Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island. Responsibilities

• Perform various landscaping and grounds maintenance duties
• Assist with burials, including preparing graves and entombment sites
• Work with a variety of cemetery equipment and tools in a proper safe manner, including hand and power tools, mowers, and trucks

Requirements

• Work in various year-round weather conditions (e.g. heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.); stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to operate both hand and power tools, and other cemetery equipment after sufficient training
• Valid drivers' license; CDL Class A License a plus
• Expected to follow written and oral instructions, policies and procedures
• Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) a plus; high school diploma or equivalency is welcomed
