About The Position

GDIT is seeking a CDS Network/Systems Administrator to perform CDS-related network infrastructure and network related duties at the enclave level (AFSCI, AOC SIPRNet, SIPRNet, ACBN and Private ISP) at assigned locations. This role involves working and coordinating with other agencies to provide a more resilient infrastructure for the AF enterprise. The administrator will build, operate, and maintain communications networks, including maintaining CDS-related network infrastructure and keys/rekeying CDS-related encryption devices. Responsibilities also include configuring routers, switches, and firewalls for LAN and WAN systems, as well as VPN concentrators. The position requires coordinating LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements, monitoring the network using industry-leading technologies, providing innovative technical solutions, and planning implementation of enhancements. The CDS Network/Systems Administrator will also perform CDS Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) administrator duties.

Requirements

  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • 5 + years of related experience
  • Cross Domain Solutions
  • Linux System Administration
  • Network Administration
  • Possess and maintain DoWD 8570.01M/DoDD 8140 IAM III certification
  • Possess as a minimum a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification of any type (e.g., Routing and Switching, Security, or Service Provider)
  • Complete vendor-provided CDS solution training, and will attain and maintain CDS vendor-provided certification
  • BA/BS + 5 years’ specialized experience OR MA/MS + 3 years’ specialized experience OR No Degree + 11 years’ experience (6 specialized)

Nice To Haves

  • LINUX/Trusted LINUX administration certification strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Performs CDS-related network infrastructure and network related duties at the enclave level (AFSCI, AOC SIPRNet, SIPRNet, ACBN and Private ISP) at assigned locations IAW NCDSMO-R-00008-005_01, Department of War (DoW) and National Cross Domain Strategy & Management Office (NCDSMO) "Raise-the-Bar" (RTB) Standards, Version 5.1, dated 9 February 2026.
  • Works and coordinates with other agencies to provide a more resilient infrastructure for the AF enterprise.
  • Builds, operates and maintains communications networks.
  • Maintains CDS-related network infrastructure, and keys/rekeys CDS-relata encryption devices.
  • Configures routers and switches, and firewalls for Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems and Virtual Private Network (VPN) concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.
  • Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.
  • Monitors the network utilizing industry leading technologies.
  • Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.
  • Plans implementation of enhancements.
  • Performs CDS Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) administrator duties.
