About The Position
Shea Concrete is seeking a Boom Truck Driver for local deliveries in Nottingham, NH. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, assembly, and installation of precast products and materials to residential and commercial customers. The driver must ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, maintain timely deliveries, and uphold high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, managing documentation accurately, and adhering to company policies. Paid training is provided, and the company will assist with obtaining necessary licenses and certifications.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age per federal guidelines.
- Must possess a current Commercial Driver’s License (A preferred).
- Must possess or will obtain a Massachusetts 1B Hoisting license, must be willing to obtain an OSHA crane license, OSHA 10 hour and OSHA rigging and signaling certifications (Shea will help with these).
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written to staff and our customers
- Ability to remain focused in busy environment.
Nice To Haves
- Willing to obtain a hoisting license to operate a boom truck.
Responsibilities
- Delivery and installation of concrete products
- Operation of knuckle or telescoping boom up to 15 ton (will train)
- Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection reporting any malfunctions to supervisor.
- Perform daily inspection of crane and rigging, log inspection monthly
- Properly securing cargo
- Maintain clean truck exterior/interior washing & waxing
- Loading truck per shipping ticket
- Familiar with handling truck off road
- Interacting on job sites with customers in a professional manner projecting the “Shea Image”
- Frequent: sitting, bending, walking, driving and climbing. Must not be afraid of heights up to10 feet.
- Lifting and carrying: 40 lbs
- Basic use and knowledge of hammer drills and associated hand tools
