About The Position

Florida Design Works, an industry sales leader in flooring, designer tile, custom cabinetry, and stone countertops for over 55 years, is seeking a qualified and dependable driver with a Class B CDL for its Naples location. This role involves both driving and assisting the warehouse team. Responsibilities include driving, loading/unloading materials, warehouse operations, inventory management, customer assistance, and helping to unload shipments upon arrival. The company prefers candidates with a Class B CDL, at least one year of large truck driving experience, manual transmission operation capability, and air brake certification. Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL
• DOT medical card
• 1+ years' experience driving large trucks (box and flatbed)
• Authorized to legally work in the US
• Valid Florida Driver License with no restrictions and clean driving record
• Can operate a manual transmission truck
• Air brake certified (current/valid)
• Able to lift/move 50-75 pounds
• Able to follow written and oral directions, use GPS/Navigation system
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Pick-up loads, organize materials on the truck, and secure loads
• Transport pallet goods and other materials to our locations in Sarasota, Ft. Myers, and Naples.
• Unload materials arriving at the warehouse using a forklift
• Maintaining a clean truck and warehouse
• Assist customers and contractors in the warehouse
• Adhering to all company policies and safety procedures
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
• Reporting any driving incidents asap to supervisor
• Helping other team members as needed to get the job done
