About the position

At Owens & Minor, we are a critical part of the healthcare process. As a Fortune 500 company with over 50 facilities across the US and 18,000 teammates in more than 90 countries, we provide integrated technologies, products, and services across the full continuum of care. Our mission is to empower our customers to advance healthcare, and our success starts with our teammates. Our Clinical Service Technicians play a vital role in positively impacting the lives of patients by delivering medical equipment to their homes. This position requires excellent customer service skills, as technicians must communicate product information effectively, provide solutions, and ensure that patients feel comfortable operating their equipment. The Clinical Service Technician is responsible for loading and unloading medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies onto and off delivery vehicles, delivering medical equipment to homecare patients, setting up the equipment, instructing patients on its use, and assisting with any problems that may arise. Technicians must proactively communicate estimated arrival times to patients and their families to prevent service failures. Daily responsibilities also include completing delivery logs, pick-up forms, reimbursement documents, and vehicle maintenance logs, as well as performing routine vehicle maintenance and inspections. This role requires compliance with traffic laws and regulatory requirements, including safe driving habits and mandatory reporting of any unsafe conditions.
