About the position

As a Transport Driver for AmeriGas, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of propane, ensuring that our customers receive their fuel safely and efficiently. This position requires a safety-minded and customer-focused individual who is ready to take on the responsibilities of driving a tanker truck with an 11,400-gallon capacity. You will be responsible for picking up propane at various supply points, including refineries and storage facilities, and delivering it to AmeriGas facilities in your area. The job involves making four to five pick-ups and deliveries each day, covering an average of 500 miles, and working up to 14 hours daily. Approximately 80% of your time will be spent driving or waiting in line at the supply point, which requires patience and attention to detail. Your daily tasks will include attaching terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker, using hoses to unload the tanker, and performing twice-daily inspections of the truck to ensure it is in safe operating condition. You may also need to climb ladders at some facilities to check gauges at the top of bulk tanks. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road and is committed to safety and customer service.
