About the position

Responsibilities

• Inspect, fuel, and drive tractor trailers on delivery routes.
• Conduct pre-trip, inter trip, and post-trip inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Verify load and load destination, ensuring proper load securement.
• Follow route plans and meet delivery/pick-up requirements for each store.
• Complete store clean outs and manage returns to the distribution center as needed.
• Document and report any defects or concerns with the vehicle in the DVIR.
• Accurately report hours of service using an electronic logging device (ELD).
• Communicate any issues that may affect the route plan.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hours of service requirements.
• Ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely and professionally.
• Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
• Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions, including snow and ice.
• Knowledge of load-securing methods and safe operation of pallet jacks.
