About The Position

Miller Industries is seeking a Warehouse/CDL – Class A Truck Driver to work in the Shipping Department on our 1st Shift. The hours are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, with overtime as required on the weekends. In this role, you will be working as a company driver and be home daily. Miller Industries designs, engineers, and manufactures custom products in Fenton and Burton, Michigan, with additional engineering support in El Paso, Texas. The divisions of our business include Miller Fabricated Systems, Flex Air, Miller Industries Representatives, and our MI Service Group. Together, we have the capabilities to provide our customers with custom steel fabrication, custom commercial and industrial HVAC systems, and various modular mechanical and electrical systems. Over the years, we have been a primary supplier to automotive, healthcare, institutional, and semiconductor manufacturers worldwide. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years CDL-A experience and CDL-A License required with air brakes endorsement.
  • Must pass drug and alcohol test.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
  • Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with customers and the public.
  • Conduct daily inspections both pre-trip and post-trip of the truck and trailers hauled and report any problems or damage to management.
  • Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and DOT regulations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Ability to perform warehouse functions such as drive forklift or pallet jack to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move products to and from trailers and trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for transporting company products and parts to and from customers, suppliers and Miller Industries locations within the State of Michigan.
  • Required to perform inspections before and after a trip.
  • Maintain equipment provided by Company.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all DOT federal/state regulations.
  • When not driving, will have some dock responsibilities including loading unloading trucks.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with customers and fellow employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
