The Cath Lab Tech at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital plays a crucial role in assisting physicians and cardiovascular lab personnel in preparing and maintaining the Cath Lab for procedures. This position involves monitoring cardiac parameters, performing calculations, and ensuring the lab is ready for patient care, all while contributing to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in clearing and preparing the Cath Lab room for cases.
- Recognize and record cardiac pressure forms and thermodynamic parameters.
- Perform cardiac thermodynamic calculations and report abnormal values to the physician.
- Review and update procedures logs immediately after each procedure.
Requirements
- BLS Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- RCIS or ARRT Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
