About The Position

The Catering Team Lead, working with the Deli/Bistro Team Lead and Executive Chef, will effectively direct and oversee all catering functions. This includes planning events, ordering and preparing beverages and foods, presenting them to clients, and overseeing catering event food service and servers to achieve departmental sales and customer service goals. The role requires a responsible, friendly individual capable of working safely in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.
Must be 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.
For Internal Transfers/Promotion/Rehire Candidates: Current leader must recommend application and provide endorsement upon request from HR.
May be asked to accept a part-time position if that is the only position available.
Rehires must be approved by an HRBP.

Responsibilities

Facilitate catered events from beginning to conclusion.
Collaborate with the executive chef on menu planning and production of catering menus to ensure profitability and company standards.
Plan, develop, and present various catering menus with expertise and creativity.
Meet diverse catering requests from customers.
Demonstrate excellent communication and salesmanship skills with clients and vendors.
Maintain open communication with the deli/bistro department, catering department, deli/bistro department manager, and executive chef.
Ensure compliance with all state, county, and local health department and weights and measures policies, laws, and requirements.
Control food costs and shrink by monitoring production and implementing reworks.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
