About the position
The Team Member at JOANN is responsible for delivering a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity and making JOANN a happy place for customers. This role involves driving sales through product knowledge, innovative merchandising, and ensuring counter accuracy while contributing positively to the store environment through customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Greets every customer and uses the F.A.S.T. service model to meet their needs.
- Engages in friendly conversation with customers about their projects while serving them at the cutting counter and cash register.
- Processes customer transactions efficiently and professionally at the cutting counter and cash register.
- Lifts boxes from the truck and arranges items on shelves and racks.
- Unloads freight from the truck and sorts it according to company procedures.
- Stocks shelves accurately according to planogram while maintaining high productivity and attention to detail.
- Maintains high standards throughout the sales floor by cleaning and recovering shelves and putting away returns.
- Invites customers to participate in store activities such as Education Classes and Custom Framing.
- Proactively drives sales through product knowledge and building strong customer relationships.
- Assists other Team Members with tasks to ensure the team exceeds expectations set by Store Management.
Requirements
- No minimum education requirement.
- Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required.
- Preferred: 1-3 years previous experience in a customer-centric environment.
