About the position

The Cashier at Cabela's is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by efficiently checking out merchandise through the POS registers. This role involves greeting customers, handling merchandise with care, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The Cashier also promotes various programs and assists customers in making informed buying decisions.

Responsibilities

• Check out customer's merchandise through the POS registers.
• Provide world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
• Approach customers in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Maintain product knowledge and awareness of advertised sales.
• Stock and straighten shelves and pegs when not directly ringing up products.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs.
• Make product recommendations based on customer analysis.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system.
