About the position
As a Morning Shift Associate at our convenience store and gas station, you will be the first point of contact for customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive start to their day. This role involves engaging with early morning customers, managing transactions, and maintaining store presentation, all while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and energetically as they arrive in the morning.
- Restock and organize shelves to ensure a fresh and inviting store appearance.
- Maintain the coffee station, ensuring it is well-stocked and ready for customers.
- Handle morning transactions efficiently and cheerfully.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and staff during busy hours.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak times.
- Keep the store and restrooms clean and welcoming for customers.
- Maintain the outdoor area to ensure it is neat and attractive.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Physical ability to frequently lift 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
- Friendly demeanor with a knack for making customers feel welcome.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on customer experience.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexible and adaptable to various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
