About the position
The Cashier/Customer Service role at Ricky Rockets Fuel Center involves providing exceptional service to guests, managing sales transactions, and maintaining store merchandise. The position is part-time and requires a focus on guest satisfaction, adherence to operational procedures, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Delivers guest service with a 'how may I help you' attitude.
- Rings all sales as discussed in the operations procedures.
- Assures proper sale and accounting of all currency/lottery during shift.
- Keeps coolers, fast lane merchandise, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and always faced.
- Cleans and maintains equipment and prepares high-margin products such as coffee and fountain drinks.
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest purchases and inquires about rewards membership at the start of transactions.
- Informs Store Management of all sales, cash, or operating discrepancies.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Advises store management of any maintenance or safety issues.
- Practices safe working habits in accordance with company safety rules.
- Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations regarding alcohol and tobacco sales.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, understand, and write in English.
- Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
- High energy and strong work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Sufficient visual acuity to check identification and process money.
- Ability to read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash registers and other equipment.
- Ability to stand for an entire shift.
- Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
