About the position
The Cash Application Specialist position is an entry-level role within the accounts receivable team at Aston Carter. This role is designed for candidates looking to gain professional experience in a rapidly growing industry. The specialist will be responsible for processing and reconciling account receivables, reviewing payments, and addressing payment discrepancies, while also engaging in collection management processes as needed.
Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances
- Review payments and apply them to the correct customer account
- Create regular reports to accurately track financial information
- Address payment issues like double payments or other discrepancies
- Engage in collection management processes as necessary
- Assist department with other AR related work including credit/collections as needed
- Manipulate data using excel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field
- Ability to commute to North Bergen, NJ 5 days a week
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills
