Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations in residences to determine the validity of reports of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment.
• Document findings and develop plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to adults living with disabilities.
• Manage active cases and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
• Travel throughout the region, primarily in Allegheny County, to conduct investigations.
• Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant experience in behavioral health, mental health, or intellectual and developmental disabilities services.
• Experience in field-based healthcare or human services roles.
• Knowledge of Social Assistance Management Systems (SAMS) and Home and Community Service Information Systems (HCSIS) is helpful.
• Spanish speaking skills are a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Child, Family and Youth Services case management (County CYF).
• Law enforcement experience.
• Case management or other protective services experience.
