About the position

As a Case Management Instructor at EXL Services, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering training programs for the telephonic case management team. This position involves designing training curriculums, conducting orientations, and ensuring that staff are well-versed in case management best practices and industry standards. Your expertise will help enhance the performance of clinical and non-clinical staff, ultimately improving patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department leadership to identify competencies and assess learning needs of staff.
  • Develop learning goals, objectives, curriculum, and measurements to promote desired competencies.
  • Design and develop training programs, prepare schedules, and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Create behavioral objectives, training methodology, and course materials using instructional design theory.
  • Apply alternative training mediums to enhance remote training effectiveness and accommodate various learning styles.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to learners.
  • Deliver timely training on updates in policies, procedures, and compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Implement annual training on NCQA Case Management accreditation standards.
  • Design effective learning and evaluation tools to support staff development.
  • Measure and track training effectiveness using competency evaluation checklists.
  • Provide feedback to management on training results.
  • Maintain project plans for developed courses, including onboarding training for new hires.
  • Collaborate with Case Management Quality Analyst to identify performance gaps requiring additional training.
  • Conduct periodic needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and deliver refresher training.
  • Update curriculum and assessments based on feedback from operations and quality leadership.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with staff and management.
  • Provide input into performance evaluations regarding clinical competence.
  • Develop training content based on clinical operations procedures using adult learning principles.
  • Participate in readiness assessments for accreditation survey submissions.
  • Maintain CEUs as required by applicable State Board(s) of Nursing.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of residence and ability to obtain multi-state licensure.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of case management work experience in a clinical setting (managed care preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering training courses.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Case management certification (CCM preferred).
  • Experience in an NCQA accredited Case Management program.
  • Knowledge of case management industry best practices and patient-centered care concepts.
  • Familiarity with ADDIE training framework and relevant training delivery techniques.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening, interpersonal).
  • Knowledge of all components of the case management process.
