Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education OR experience, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Prior administrative assistant experience.
Responsibilities
- Expedite discharges, ensuring external providers have all necessary documentation for patient transitions.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Case Management team, Admissions, and Payers, translating complex status updates into clear action items.
- Facilitate the documentation process with payers, recording interactions and keeping Utilization Management Nurses informed.
- Obtain authorizations for ancillary services and manage denial reporting to ensure patients receive necessary resources and hospital work is accurately recognized.
